People always assume I have the best life because I live in paradise. Well, I am here to tell you they are right! Just when I think I couldn’t love my island home more, I take the opportunity to discover hidden treasures with Uber. Being a Makaha girl born and raised on the beautiful Leeward Coast of Oahu, I get to see and experience some of the most amazing scenery in the world on the daily!
When I am feeling adventurous I break out my Uber app and see what fun, exciting, explorations I can take with my friends. I love to venture to “town” or Waikiki (as some would call it) to have what we locals like to call a “staycation”. I personally enjoy staying at any of the Outrigger properties in Waikiki. Each property delivers their own version of Hawaiian hospitality with accessibility, convenience, and spectacular views.
No matter which side of the island you stay on, each has its own unique flavor and scenery. The Eastside of Oahu is just a short Uber ride from the hotels and hustle and bustle in Waikiki. Here you will discover some insanely scenic views along with gorgeous white sand beaches.
The Makapu’u Light house trail hike offers sweeping views with a light to moderate hike to reap this reward. After this hike I typically am ready for a cool down and hop in an Uber easily from the trail to a nearby beach. I have traveled all over the world to many beaches, but my island home always has a special place in my heart. (just be sure to connect with a lifeguard first and see if the ocean is safe for you to enjoy) I love how stress-free and convenient it is for me to travel and explore home. Now especially with Ubers new safety benefits, I can be assured that I am getting around in the safest way possible. Safety Center is a dedicated place in your Uber app where you can learn about key safety information, including tips built in partnership with law enforcement, driver screening processes, insurance protections and community guidelines.
